Diana goes back to Stratford in triumph

...Diana Rigg as Viola makes an equally triumphant return to the company which nurtured her before she turned to "The Avengers."

Here is a Viola you can really believe in as a boy and who still projects the feelings of a woman in the lively expressions that chase constantly across her impudent cheeks.

She looks a picture, and she has the gift of turning tomboyishness into tenderness as the loveliest lines of the play approach and turning back again into high spirits and optimism...

From The Daily Mail, England, June 17th 1966.

[Please note, I only used the headline and the Rigg bits of the review - Ian Holm got a thumbs up, but David Warner seemed out of his depth].
